Kamo Home and Village Charitable Trust was built with the help of volunteers and community groups under the supervision of an architect in 1971, on land bequested by the late Jack and Alice Court. Sited in a north facing bush setting with spacious grounds and gardens Kamo Home and Village is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the well established Kamo area of Whangarei. We offer rest home care, specialist dementia care short stay and independent retirement units. The staff are warm, caring, qualified and experienced. Our staffing ratios are higher than the minimum outlined by the Ministry of Health. We focus on delivering quality care based on Treaty principles of partnership, participation and protection. The home is committed to providing a physically and culturally safe environment for all whilst respecting the rights of all individuals.
