The rest home has four wings of ten single rooms. One wing has an enhanced room with ensuite facility.
Each room is equipped with a handbasin, generous storage, call bell, power, television and telephone jackpoints.
A spacious sunroom lounge and small kitchen at the end of each wing allows room for teas, snacks and entertaining friends and family.
A shop provides basic necessities and the modern laundry takes
careful care of daily washing needs.
Caring, qualified staff
are in attendance twenty four hours and regular medical checks
are provided by a doctor of choice.
Van outings are a regular feature, as are activities such
as bowls, board games, Tai Chi, exercises, arts and crafts,
church services, outside performances, news discussions and
walks in the lovely grounds. All help to meet the physical,
social, cultural, intellectual and spiritual needs of our
residents.
Spiritual support is provided by our Home Chaplain and Kaumatua.
Visits by family/whanau and friends are most welcome and residents
are encouraged to have outings and holidays whenever possible. |
