Resident entry to Alice Court requires that an assessment has taken place by the Needs Assessment Team (NAS Team) from the Northland base hospital and states that a resident requires dementia level care. Assessment with the NAS Team can be arranged through your own doctor.
Alice Court is a friendly, homely secure unit. Each resident has their own bedroom and share a spacious lounge and dining area. All furniture and bedding is provided however personal items of recognition are supported. The gardens are spacious, accessible and designed to keep Alice Court Residents stimulated and safe.
Alice Court is staffed with members of our care services team who are trained in dementia. A registered nurse will formulate an individual plan of care, manage any medical requirements that may be required and oversee all aspects of a residents care requirements. All residents are seen regularly by a Doctor and a Podiatrist.
All meals will be provided by our catering team, plus morning and afternoon tea and supper. All laundry and housekeeping needs will be met by our House Keeping Team.
A wide range of social and spiritual activities are available for residents to attend throughout the week organized by a qualified Diversional Therapist. These activities include a weekly outing to ensure that integration into our community is maintained.
The weekly cost until July 2012 will be $.1127.74 You may be eligible for a subsidized rate depending on your personal assets. Further information is available regarding this at http://www.moh.govt.nz/assettesting or can be discussed further on your application.
